Filed under: Business — Andre @ 5:34 am

You’ve probably heard it a hundred times that when it comes to Kids Soccer Drills , it is of paramount importance that kids have fun. Make sure you plan and carry out the drills in a fashion that results in increasing their interest.

Youth soccer drills are generally easy to conceptualize but hard to execute. The tips given below will allow you to derive maximum advantage from the training sessions. It’s an excellent strategy to have the kids practice it often, on way to learning the game.

1. Include practice game as well as drills in the training sessions. It’s quite logical that the balance of practice games and drills should be included keeping in mind speed, thinking and agility.

2. Keep a strict watch on the activities and make sure that everyone is participating. When in the sports ground, it’s not required to have individual equipment for each drill. This results in wastage of time. Use simple cones or else disk cones as an alternative, to perform drills.

3. It’s very important to ensure that there are maximum contacts made using the ball in one day or session. Their way of playing and dealing with the ball will reflect their strong and weak points. This will in turn help in individual evaluation.

4. When coaching soccer drills for kids, the technique should be your centre of focus. Make sure that the players practice with the correct technique, otherwise they’ll get into the habit of using incorrect methods. Also, keep the duration of your lectures short so that kids do not get bored.

In kids soccer drills, the kids fail to maintain their eagerness with which they come to the practice sessions, simply because of the lengthy briefing before the sessions. As a coach, this can prove to be costly. So keep your instructions short and simple.

5. Select the drills that pose a certain level of difficulty for the boys. In addition, try to recreate a scenario where the kids feel that they are playing in a real match. This will help them get accustomed.

6. The recommended method to take soccer drills for youth is to divide the players into teams and pitch them against each other. This makes the players respect each other and encourage learning.

7. Note down the performances both on an individual as well as group level. Gauge the factors such as time, heath, and team spirit between players which affect the team performances.

8. Make sure that even though there is a feeling of competition, there are no adverse feelings. How can you get this? Do not include games or drills that include elimination rounds. This causes dejection among the players. In drills, every body puts in their best and everybody wins. This fills them with confidence.

9. It makes sense to have one ball per player. This is critical since the players will need to learn to control the ball.

10. In the end, design simple drills so that kids have fun with them and you have excelled in your job.
